The Challenge
Hospital corridors operate around the clock and are exposed to continuous foot traffic, wheelchairs, medical carts, hospital beds, and frequent cleaning. The flooring therefore needed to provide reliable wear resistance, low residual indentation, easy maintenance, slip resistance, and stable dimensional performance.
Our Vinyl Flooring Solution
We supplied 2.0 mm heterogeneous commercial vinyl sheet flooring with a 0.3 mm wear layer. The flooring combines a durable wear surface with good dimensional stability, stain and chemical resistance, antistatic performance, and a B1 fire classification.
The 2-meter-wide sheet format reduces the number of floor joints in hospital corridors. When installed with matching welding rods, the seams can be heat welded to create a continuous surface that is easier to clean and maintain.
Key Product Benefits
- Commercial Wear Performance: The 0.3 mm wear layer and tested wear volume loss of 1.5 mm³ meet the listed T-grade requirement of no more than 2.0 mm³.
- Low Residual Indentation: A tested residual indentation result of 0.02 mm helps the flooring maintain a stable appearance under daily hospital use.
- Dimensional Stability: The tested dimensional stability and curling result after heat exposure is 0.00%.
- Stain and Chemical Resistance: The surface achieved an excellent result under the listed ISO test method.
- Slip Resistance: Tested slip-resistance values are 0.52 under dry conditions and 0.55 under wet conditions.
- Fire Performance: Classified as a B1 flame-retardant material according to the listed test standard.
- Optional Surface Treatments: UV stain-resistant treatment and antibacterial and anti-mildew treatment can be customized according to project requirements.
