Homogeneous ESD Vinyl Flooring for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Project Overview

  • Location: The Netherlands
  • Facility Type: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant
  • Product Supplied: Homogeneous ESD Vinyl Flooring
  • Available Format: 2.0 m × 20 m Rolls / 600 × 600 mm Tiles
  • Total Thickness: 2.0 mm

Project Background & Challenges

Pharmaceutical manufacturing environments require a hygienic, durable and easy-to-maintain flooring system. The client required a flooring solution suitable for a GMP-controlled production environment, with reliable electrostatic control, resistance to rolling equipment, low emissions and regular cleaning procedures.

Our Homogeneous ESD Flooring Solution

To meet the operational requirements of the facility, we supplied our 2.0 mm homogeneous ESD vinyl flooring in dissipative or conductive resistance grades.

  • Reliable Electrostatic Control: The dissipative version provides electrical resistance from 1.0 × 106 to 1.0 × 109 Ω, while the conductive version provides resistance from 1.0 × 104 to 1.0 × 106 Ω.
  • Fast Static Voltage Decay: Static voltage decay time is ≤0.4 seconds, with static electrical propensity below 2 kV.
  • Hygienic Surface: The dense homogeneous structure is easy to clean, while antibacterial performance inhibits more than 99% of bacterial growth according to ISO 22196.
  • Hot-Welded Installation: Professional heat-welded seams help create a continuous and hygienic floor surface, reducing areas where dirt and contaminants may accumulate.
  • Heavy-Duty Performance: With use classifications 34 and 43, the flooring is suitable for heavy commercial and industrial applications.
  • Rolling Load Resistance: The flooring withstands castor-chair movement without delamination or surface cracking.
  • Low Indoor Emissions: TVOC emissions after 28 days are below 10 μg/m³, while formaldehyde was not detected under the stated testing method.
